So, seeing as the world is supposed to end tomorrow, or it’s supposed to be the beginning of the end, or something crazy anyway; I thought it would be a good time to post again.
No I’m not religious, well I sort of am being Atheist, but I do like to look into religion as an amused observer of what I personally think is crazy.
As this is supposed to be a big thing, I thought I would re-post an amusing xkcd strip about it:

Ultimately, if different religions have something right about it, I still don’t think any of them would have their entire belief structure correct anyway. Still, I digress!
As the end of the world is apparently coming tomorrow, I’ve held off getting car tax for now. No reason, I just haven’t got round to it yet. I’m fully aware that if the world mysteriously does end, the extra money in my bank account isn’t going to be much good either – so any course of action is somewhat futile.
All the crazy talk of the end of the world got me thinking about the things I would like to do before I die, which could mean I have a very busy day tomorrow. In no particular order:
- learn to ride a motorbike
- finish the “ongoing” personal projects I have outstanding
- see the last Harry Potter film
- be able to play a number of songs on the guitar
- have the holiday I have paid for
- go scuba diving again
- fully recover from injury
- play hockey again
There’s probably loads of other things too which I want to do in my life, so I have all that to look forward to when the world isn’t at an end tomorrow.
The trouble with people predicting the end of the world via “biblical” means is that when it doesn’t happen, they will claim that they prayed to whichever deity it is they follow and asked for postponement on judgement day, and were granted it. To those people I only have this to say: why would you want to prolong judgement day when you will be going to a better place in the afterlife you believe in, surely you would want to bring it forward so you can be with your deity sooner rather than later?
Like I said, crazy!

Hi, I was wondering if I could use this post (http://garybell.co.uk/religion/embrace-the-rapture) as inspiration to write my own post on? Just asking
